Coach Jason Ancrum

Coach Jason Ancrum is the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and runs the Girls Basketball program at Agoura High School High from 2016 to present.  In 2016 he received an award as Ventura County Coach of the Year and in 2017 Marmonte League Coach of the Year. From 2010-2016 Jason was the Head Coach for the Boys Frosh-Soph and JV and Assistant Coach for Boys Varsity at Agoura High School.  Jason’s basketball career began at a young age, playing for local rec leagues and travel teams, and has been playing and coaching in the Conejo Valley most of his life. After playing Varsity basketball for Agoura High School, he started coaching at a local middle school in Tucson Arizona, while he was attending the University of Arizona. When he returned to California, Jason coached for various club programs for 8 years. Jason Ancrum truly loves this community and is dedicated to give back to the community that has raised him so well.

Coach Josh Budde

Coach Josh Budde  is the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Westlake High School. He has previously coached four years at Agoura High School as the Boys JV, SF, F Head Coach, and Varsity Assistant; 1 year at Simi Valley High School as the Boys JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant; 1 year at Westlake High School as the Boys Freshman Head Coach; and most recently three years at Saint Bonaventure High School as the Boys Soph/Frosh Head Coach and Varsity Assistant where he came off of a Tri-Valley League Championship going 5-0. In 2017-2018, he was part of the CIFSS Div. 4AA Finalist team. Coach Budde spent 12 years as the Associate Head Coach for Valley Thunder Club Basketball until March 2019. Soon after, he co-founded the West Coast Renegades Club Basketball Program. Coach Budde received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix and holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. He has also earned Teaching Credentials in Physical Education and Mathematics. He is entering his 1st year at Westlake High School as a Math Teacher at High School and has taught for three years at Saint Bonaventure High School.


Coach Kookie Taloma

Coach Kookie Taloma grew up in San Fernando Valley, on the east side. She played 4 years on Varsity for James Monroe Senior High School and 2 years for Los Angeles Valley College. Unfortunately, due to a major injury, Coach Kookie decided to take a break from playing basketball but stayed within the community by coaching in local basketball camps and officiating youth recreational leagues. Currently, she is attending CSUN in pursuit of a BA in Business Management, with hopes of graduating by Spring of 2019. Coach Kookie also obtained her first official coaching job as Varsity Assistant and JV Head Coach at Calabasas High School in July of 2017.  Coach Kookie aspires to give back to the community by being a positive mentor and aiding in the mission of TruHoops.


Coach Jess Kelliher

 Coach Jess Kelliher started her basketball journey in Massachusetts at Marshfield High School and then went on to play college basketball at Nichols College. Jess played all four years at Nichols and was named team captain her senior year. Upon graduation,    Jess chose to further her education by joining the Master program at    Nichols and has received a Master’s Degree in December of 2017. Coach Jess became the Varsity Assistant and JV Head Coach at Agoura High School in September of 2017 after she decided to make the cross country move from Massachusetts to California. In her first-year coaching, Jess led her JV team to a Marmonte League Title. It is Coach Jess’ goal to be a positive mentor for her players and to help them achieve their full potential both on and off of the court.
